DIRECTOR ROLE DESCRIPTION
 
The Director of the French-Australian Bilingual program at Tingalpa State School /Ecole Franco- Australienne de Brisbane will:
Lead teaching and learning
·         Manage the elaboration, implementation and evaluation of the French-Australian Bilingual program strategic Plan.
·         Manage the implementation of the French-Australian Bilingual program strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
·         Manage the development of the French-Australian Bilingual program assessment and reporting functions.
·         Manage the French evaluation program yearly.
·         Be responsible for French accreditation of the French-Australian Bilingual program.
·         Enhance high quality teaching and learning in the French-Australian Bilingual program through explicit modelling, mentoring and coaching of staff in the French-Australian Bilingual program.
·         Engage in explicit teaching in classrooms to support individual students and/or small groups of students requiring more intensive teaching support.
·         Teach classes on a part time basis.
 
Develop self and other
·         Develop and maintain effective strategies and procedures for professional development
·         Conduct French-Australian Bilingual program French teachers professional reviews
·         Elaborate, implement and review French-Australian Bilingual program Professional Learning plan.
·         Provide support and guidance to French-Australian Bilingual program staff.
 
Lead improvement, innovation and change
Lead the management of the French-Australian Bilingual program
·      Contribute to the overall leadership of the school.
·      Participate in leadership meetings.
·      Contribute to the final form of any curriculum proposals for Leadership Team consideration.
·      Regularly report to the school Leadership Team.
·      Manage enrolments in the French-Australian Bilingual program, under the supervision of the Principal.
·         Manage the French-Australian Bilingual program budget
·         Identification of needs o Forecasting o Tracking
·      Organise and participate in the recruitment of French-Australian Bilingual program staff.
·      Develop and maintain effective strategies and procedures for staff induction.
·      Manage the administrative evaluation of the French staff for the French embassy.
Engage and work with the community
·         Liaise with a range of French Administrative authorities e.g. Embassy, Consulate, AEFE, FABS, Alliance Francaise.
·         Participation to AEFE network meetings.
·         Organise French official visits to the school.
·         Support the submission of scholarship application to the social services of the French consulate.
·         Develop and maintain structures for effective liaison and consultation with families and community groups.
 


Director of Ecole Franco-Australienne de Brisbane - Brisbane Australia
An experienced, enthusiastic educator with strong interpersonal skills, seeking new challenge is required for the role of Director of the French Australian Bilingual program at Tingalpa State School Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (Ecole Franco-Australienne de Brisbane). This program was established in 2015 within Tingalpa State School, a public school situated within close proximity to central Brisbane and is jointly supported by the French Embassy and Education Queensland. The program has been accredited ("Homologation") with the AEFE.
The successful applicant will require accreditation ("Professeur des Ecoles Titulaire") with the French Ministry of Education and be eligible for accreditation with the Queensland College of Teachers; demonstrated knowledge of French curriculum and pedagogy; ability to lead teaching and learning and manage the French Australian Bilingual Program to develop a harmonised French and Australian curriculum.
Partial teaching load is expected for this position. Tenure is for two years with possibility of extension. Salary range $96 817 - $101464 per annum.

Tingalpa State School (Brisbane, Queensland, Austraiie) recherche des candidats experimentes, enthousiastes, doues d'un sens aigu des relations humaines et a la recherche de nouveaux defis professionnels pour le nouveau poste de Directeur de son programme franco-australien (Ecole Franco-Australienne de Brisbane). Ce programme bilingue, cree en 2015 dans I'ecole primaire publique de Tingalpa situee a proximite du centre de Brisbane, est une initiative portee conjointement par I'Ambassade de France en Austraiie et par les autorites educatives de I'etat du Queensland. Le programme a été accrédité ("Homologation") auprès de l'AEFE.
 
Le candidat retenu devra :
etre professeur des ecoles titulaire
etre a meme de voir sa formation initiale et son experience professionnelle validees par les autorites educatives locales (Queensland College of Teachers)
demontrer une tres bonne connaissance du systeme educatif frangais (programmes officiels, principes et organisation pedagogiques, etc.)
etre capable d'assurer la gestion et I'animation pedagogique du programme bilingue, notamment en vue de mettre en oeuvre un alignement entre les programmes officiels frangais et australien.
Le contrat est d'un an, renouvelable. Le salaire brut est compris entre AU$96817 et AU$101464 annuels. Decharge partielle d'enseignement.
