The Support Teacher Literacy and Numeracy (STLN)

 

The Support Teacher Literacy and Numeracy works collaboratively within school teams, as part of a whole school approach to maximise student learning. 

The STL&N works with the Head of Curriculum, the Guidance Officer, Speech Language Pathologist, visiting specialist teachers, class teachers and teacher aides to plan and implement processes designed to identify learning needs, design appropriate programs and make the most effective use of school resources to improve student achievement. 

Students who require intervention or extension will be identified using a range of diagnostic and assessment tools that are part of the whole school assessment framework. Progress is monitored and data is collected and analysed to assess academic performance and evaluate the effectiveness of the differentiated intervention.​
