Student support programs

Tingalpa State School is committed to providing every child with a balanced education in a supportive environment.

In order to maximise the learning opportunities for every student, a number of Specialist services are available through the school to ensure achievement of the best possible social and academic outcomes for our students.

  • Advisory Visiting Teacher (AVT)

    Advisory Visiting Teacher is an experienced classroom teacher who has specialised knowledge about disability or student behaviour.

  • Chaplaincy Services

    Find out about our Chappy and the services that they provide for the school

  • Guidance Officer (GO)

    Students who experience problems during school can be referred to the Guidance Officer

  • Speech Language Pathology

    The Speech Language Pathologist provides specialised assessment and assistance to students who may experience difficulties with speech, voice and fluency or language and communication.

  • The Support Teacher Literacy and Numeracy (STLN)

    The Support Teacher Literacy and Numeracy works collaboratively within school teams, as part of a whole school approach to maximise student learning.
