Our school has an Enrolment Management Plan to manage the continued growth of enrolments.
The plan’s aim is to manage the school’s population through a transparent and consistently applied set of criteria, ensuring the optimisation of the student population in regard to accommodation, facilities and grounds.
Tingalpa State School recognises as its prime obligation, the provision of access to an appropriate educational service for students whose principal place of residence is within the school's catchment area.
If you would like to make an in-catchment enrolment application, please note that we require specific documentation before an interview time will be scheduled. Not providing or bringing part of the required documentation will result in delays. Please ensure you carefully read the catchment area information.
Because of enrolment capacity and growth Tingalpa State School may be unable to meet this obligation in the future, unless action is taken now to manage enrolments. The Principal must restrict enrolment of out-of-catchment students to ensure in-catchment students can enrol at their local state school, without requiring additional facilities.
Expressions of Interest for enrolments, either in our Australian program or the French-Australian Bilingual Program, are accepted for the following year and remain active until the end of the current year only.
Expressions of interest for the waiting lists, French-Australian Bilingual Program and/or Australian program, are recorded in order of receipt of application. Should spare capacity become available at the school, the Principal will offer places to out-of-catchment students in the order they were recorded on the waiting list.
The waiting list will open at 7:00am on the first Monday in February each year, all Expressions of Interest, will remain current for the calendar year only. If a student is not accepted from the waiting list, and still wishes to be considered for enrolment parents/carers will need to reapply for the new waiting list again the following year.
