Our school has an Enrolment Management Plan to manage the continued growth of enrolments.
The plan’s aim is to manage the school’s population through a transparent and consistently applied set of criteria, ensuring the optimisation of the student population in regard to accommodation, facilities and grounds.
Tingalpa State School recognises as its prime obligation, the provision of access to an appropriate educational service for students whose principal place of residence is within the school's catchment area.
If you would like to make an in-catchment enrolment application, please note that we require specific documentation BEFORE an interview time will be scheduled. Not providing or bringing part of the required documentation will result in delays. Please ensure you carefully read the catchment area information
Because of enrolment capacity and growth Tingalpa State School may be unable to meet this obligation in the future, unless action is taken now to manage enrolments. The Principal must restrict enrolment of out-of-catchment students to ensure in-catchment students can enrol at their local state school, without requiring additional facilities.
Expressions of Interest for enrolments, either in a standard year level or the French Bilingual Program, are accepted one year prior to the requested date of enrolment and remain active for 12 months only.
Expressions of interest for the waiting list, French Bilingual Program and Standard Year Levels, is recorded in order of receipt of application. Should spare capacity become available at the school, the Principal will offer places to out-of-catchment students in the order they were recorded on the waiting list.
The waiting list will open at 8am on the first Monday in February each year, all Expressions of Interest, will remain current for 12 months only. If a student is not accepted from the waiting list, and still wish to be considered for enrolment they will need to reapply to go on the waiting list again the following year.
