Tingalpa is an Australian primary school offering two learning programs, an Australian Program and a French Bilingual Program across Prep to Year 6.
The French Bilingual Program is accredited by the French Ministry of Education. Tingalpa State School is an AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) partner.
Whites Hill State College caters for students from Prep to Year 12 and offers an Australian Program and a French Bilingual Program currently being offered, in 2026, from Prep to Year 4 and Year 7 to 9.
Tingalpa State School and Whites Hill State College work collaboratively with their French Bilingual Programs.

The Australia school year runs from January to December. Recruitment for a new school year occurs across the second half of the year. Occasional recruitment will occur outside of this time as positions become available.
Queensland state school teachers’ working conditions and salaries are set through a combination of the current State Government Certified Agreement, relevant Public Service Awards, and departmental policies. Salary is primarily determined by years of service and qualifications. In some circumstances DoE will acknowledge prior teaching experience, so teacher are not required to start at the base salary. For teachers living in Australia with working rights and French teaching qualifications, please use the following steps:
- Apply for teacher registration through the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT). This process can be lengthy as you will be required to provide certified translated copies of your French teaching qualifications. Only translations from accredited translators will be accepted (see QCT’s website for details). You will also need to sit an English language proficiency test such at IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or ISLPR (International Second Language Proficiency Ratings). The date of the IELTS or ISLPR test must be no more than three years before the date you apply for registration Details about the requirements can be found here: www.qct.edu.au/registration/english-language-proficiency-requirement
- Apply to teach in DoE Queensland state schools through Teach Queensland.
